Traditional cleaning agents vs probiotics cleaning agents
Traditional cleaning agents count among the biggest environmental polluters. So, what does this pollution look like?
The chemical detergents we use to clean our homes end up going down the drain. We tend to forget what happens with all the things we flush down the toilet; well, they end up somewhere... the chemicals in conventional detergents end up in our wastewater The harsh chemicals cannot be filtered, and they are released into our rivers and oceans. Here, they harm the aquatic environment. And, we are not talking only about little turtles or clown fish, but all the sea life is at risk, as well as humans and the planet itself. I am not being a drama queen here - we live in an eco-system where everything/everyone relies on everything/everyone, so everyone has a role to play, a purpose to fulfill, and if one is missing or not doing the job correctly, we are all in trouble.
Also, chemical cleaning products rank among the top reasons for admission into the emergency room. Often small children become seriously ill because they accidently drank detergents.
What is the impact of chemical detergents on the air we breathe?
Volatile organic compounds (VOC) from chemical cleaning products evaporate into the air, and into our lungs. They can have an impact on our health. Symptoms include fatigue and itching eyes and can cause asthma and allergies. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), poor indoor air quality is the main reason for these symptoms.
Why should we be seriously troubled by the thought of AMR?
The antimicrobial resistance is a serious global issue. Experts say it will be the major cause of death for 10 million people by 2050. This would become the first cause of mortality in the world before cancer, diabetes, and road accidents. Say again?
Yes - we are about to develop a resistance to disinfectants, antibiotics, and antiseptics, mainly triggered by an overuse of the same. So, bottom line chemical cleaning agents are toxic for us, they destroy our planet, and we put ourselves, our children, and our pets at risk.
Why use probiotics cleaning products?
First and foremost, probiotic cleaning products are entirely natural; they don't contain any chemical or toxic ingredients. They contain probiotics. They don't cause any environmental pollution; they actually help the microbial balance of the environment. They don't contribute to the risk of multiresistance, AMR. Probiotics have a long-lasting effect. They keep on working up to 72hrs after application. They maintain a healthy balance in our home whilst chemical cleaning agents work instantly by destroying everything on their way, destroying the microbial balance. And the effect is only momentary, because new bacteria find their way back onto surfaces with dust, dirt, and other organic residues. Probiotics are biodegradable.
